Tundratown, an eternally white winter wonderland. Ice to skate across, snow for snowball fights, wonderful winter sports, and some of the best fish restaurants around. On a normal day Ivan was alright with the snowy district. He may have been used to the warm humidity of the rainforest, but he enjoyed many snowy activities. Today though it felt like snowy torture for the large tiger officer as he made his way into the hospital after a call, rather than back to the station. The tiger walked with a noticeable lack of energy to his gait as he held his left arm, a somewhat pained expression on his face. This wasn't to mention the seemingly frantic claw scratches on his face and arm, or the fact that he appeared to have been soaked with the chilled tundra water, his fur clumped a bit. His uniform kept the water too, an even darker shade than normal and he felt the clothes sticking closer to his fur. He looked like he'd nearly drowned after being mauled by another predator. From the scowl on his normally happy face and the way he stood and looked such a mess... one might guess that it had been a pretty epic police combat situation.
Unfortunately for the tiger, it wasn't so. He'd started his patrol like any other, Bogo had assigned him to assist Tundratown officers and he was more than willing to do so. The tiger could appreciate a change in scenery here and there. The call had come in as a theft, and Ivan was immediately jumping into action. He was closest after all, and a well experienced officer. As he got to the scene, the tiger in fact saw the pint sized thief dashing across the slippery road. It may have been Ivan's lack of a partner that lead to his downfall in the chase, as he easily overtook the thief due to the icy conditions that the small animal was not used to. He grabbed the small criminal, but had remained cautious to not injure the mammal under his massive paws of hands. Of course this left an opening... and the tiger found himself roaring in pain at tiny claws and looked to find his suspect climbing up the side of the nearest residence.
The first of the worst parts, the thief chose a roof to try and get away. And Ivan was stubborn. He didn't even know what he had stolen, but theft was theft no matter the value. The tiger climbed up after him to catch him, carefully navigating the roof as not to fall. It was the last thing he wanted to do today. Quick animal with tiger pursuing... it didn't end as cleanly as it should have as here Ivan was after taking a fall and a very unwanted swim. He was only glad that backup had arrived and were able to successfully capture the thief. Adding assault on an officer to his charges felt so nice.
"Can I just see a doctor so I can get my report done? I don't have a long time..." The officer nearly begged the receptionist, who upon seeing him able to walk simply gave him a paper to work on filling out while waiting... which would have been great had he not hurt an arm. Or wasn't entirely wet. He wasn't willing to admit how much hurting he was feeling. Even just what might bruise by morning. He lacked the authority and demanding tone that most officers normally did when they showed up. The tiger just stepped back and dropped himself into sitting in one of the seats. The waiting game had begun, and the officer could swear he was feeling more and more sore by the minute. It felt like forever anyways, but it always did for a mammal who hated going to doctors in the first place.
Eventually someone had to see him though... Whether Bogo showed up to make him explain first was another question. He sure hoped the doctors were faster than the chief at getting to him.
