They had gotten the news just a few days ago. Hunter was being transferred to the City Central office. It was a wonderful opportunity for him of course, but Daisy was a bit more hesitant about it. Working in the heart of Zootopia was dangerous. More so than at other districts in the area. It worried her. She wanted him to do well of course, but she wanted him to be safe too. It was that concern that led her here.
She knew where the office was of course. She like to know where nearby police stations where, even if it was several blocks from her home. She had never actually be inside it though. Or really seen it up close for that matter. The building was huge. It was nothing compared to the theatre but it was still big enough to impress her. The entire front of the building with all sorts of mammals coming in and out, going about their business. There were a fair few hauling in criminals, suspects, and other people of interest. After looking around the building itself for a minute or two, Daisy slipped inside through the main door.
Inside seemed even bigger than the outside. Larger mammals bustled about the place, busy at work. Daisy slipped the hat off her head as she looked around, partially out of respect and politeness and partially to get a better view. The sunglasses stayed on however. The bright florescent lights hurt her eyes and she really couldn't afford any more damage to her eyes. This office was much bigger than where her brother currently worked. The officers were larger as well.
The officer at the reception wasn't exactly what she expected. It was a fat cheetah. That was... unusually. But who was she to talk about being unusual? She was already getting some glances from animals walking in and out. She made sure to wear her best smile when she walked up to the counter.
After explaining the situation to Officer Clawhauser, he agreed to let her in. But there were conditions; she wasn't allowed to go too far and she had to stay in the main room. She couldn't go anywhere she wasn't supposed to. Since her brother was an officer, she already knew what those places were. Which was fine with her. She wasn't here to search the place. She just wanted to scope the place and maybe talk to someone who could assure her that her brother would be safe while working here.
She gave Clawhauser one last sweet smile before heading further into the building. She looked around as she walked before eventually coming to a stop in the middle of the floor. This really was a nice department, she could tell. While the officers here were a bit bigger than her tastes, they did seem to have a kind of camaraderie between them. At least from what she could see. There was a very good chance that her brother would be perfectly fine and she was just worrying too much. Still, she did have a few questions she wanted to ask. Maybe she ought to go back to the reception and see if the chief would be willing to talk to her, if he had the time that is. What was his name again? She never really watched the news anymore, or the tv at all for that matter. Daisy was sure she heard his name somewhere before. Wasn't it... Officer Bogo or something like that?
